Lately, life has been kicking my butt and it has been SO hard to keep up with working out. I know I will not see the results I want if I can't consistently work out so I know I have to. I just can't seem to balance life with working out. Hopefully as things calm down for the school year I will find more time and get into a routine.
Any tips?

Feeling Good!
Today I was able to get in about a 35-40 minute workout! I did 25 minutes of kickboxing, which, if you haven't done is hard-core, and about 15 minutes of Pilates! It felt so good to sweat a little and stretch it out. The best part is that there were commercial breaks so there was more than just the 25 + 15 minutes...

Scheduling Conflict
How do you make sure to fit in a work out as often as possible? Well, lately I feel like I can barely fit in anything...
For example, today I had work, which I leave the house at 7 am... After work, which I left at 3:15... I had to drive about 40 minutes to meet with a new tutoring client. I then raced home (made it by 5:45) to cook a little and prep before I went to tutor my usual student at 6:30. Then I finally get home at 7:45, finish making dinner, wake up the hubs at 8, sit and eat.... then spend time with the hubs before he goes to work at 9:30. I then have to do dishes, and shower and at some point sleep. In case you didn't catch that, I'm basically going straight from 7 am to about 8:30 pm... This is typical 3 out of the 5 work days.
I'm not complaining, I love my work and tutoring and cooking. The hard part is just being so busy.
So, I ask, when is there time to work out? How do you make sure you keep your schedule for working out? Do you have any tips for incorporating some moves into daily life?

Mango Salsa
Decided to make some salsa. Here's the recipe:
- 5 tomatoes
- 1 jalapeno
- 2 mangoes- if they aren't perfectly ripe, that's ok
- 1 small onion
- 1 handful of cilantro
- juice from 2 limes
- salt and pepper to taste
Just chop it all up toss it together, grab some chips and eat up! Seriously this is so good, I had to stop myself from eating all of it.
Day 1
On this page, I will post updates about my quest to achieve better health. This is where I will document weight loss and exercise. Hopefully this keeps me motivated!
5/11/13 - Tried a few different workout videos today. Kickboxing had my attention today! That is a GREAT workout.
